had this to say: “When you hear about slavery for 400 years … For 400 years? That sounds
like a choice.” Kanye’s answers seemed to not only frustrate a TMZ staffer who during the
taping answered Kanye by what seemed like an apparent verbal debate-that began
shortly thereafter. (TMZ employee’s name is Latahn. His statement is statement below):
While you are making music and being an artist and living the life that you’ve earned by being a genius, the rest of us in society have to deal with these threats to our lives,” Lathan said. “We have to deal with the marginalization that’s come from the 400 years of slavery that you said for our people was a choice.”
The quote from Kanye comes at a time when he has shown support and “Love,” for the
embattled U.S. President Donald J. Trump-also Kanye recently appeared in public
wearing a Make America Great again Red Cap (picture, below).
Kanye Tweets his “Love” for Donald Trump:
Here is his series of tweets Tuesday evening:
You don’t have to agree with trump but the mob can’t make me not love him. We are both dragon energy. He is my brother. I love everyone. I don’t agree with everything anyone does. That’s what makes us individuals. And we have the right to independent thought.
If your friend jumps off the bridge you don’t have to do the same. Ye being Ye is a fight for you to be you. For people In my life the idea of Trump is pretty much a 50 50 split but I don’t tell a Hillary supporter not to support Hillary
I love Hillary too.
As his words are setting the Twitter world on fire, Kanye tried to explain what he meant.
And then Kanye quickly made it about Kanye:
“The reason why I brought up the 400 years point is because we can’t be mentally imprisoned for another 400 years. We need free thought now. Even the statement was an example of free thought. It was just an idea. Once again I am being attacked for presenting new ideas.“
MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!
The move by Kanye has caused a firestorm in the face of allegations that President
Donald Trump has multiple Americans who are accusing him of stoking racism-more
specifically- by reiterating this campaign slogan: “MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”-Many
disappointed fans of Kanye are responding negatively against the rappers current actions.
In addition, The President Trump recently replied to a tweet sharing a Washington
Post and other media outlets articles accusing the President of attacking prominent
African Americans “to feed his support of a belief that the system is rigged for
minorities.” We will see how this fiasco plays out for Kanye. (glg)
