As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Ephesians 4:0

In past reflections, we have considered the fact that if you have a calling, then you also have a caller, or, better yet, a divine Caller. Understand, that the Creator of the universe, the King of kings and Lord of lords has called you to belong to him and to join him in his creative, restorative work in the world.  It is exactly with this thought that anyone who has aspirations to be in service to God must proceed with understanding the desire for Godly truth.

Does Your Desire of his Truth Penetrate Your Mind and Heart

Have you allowed the wonder of this truth to penetrate your mind and heart? Do you feel honored by the fact that God wants you and has called you?

We all must understand that God’s purpose for Christians is that we might bring honor to His holy name as we enjoy our relationship with Him for all eternity. Since the nature of fallen humanity is such that our primary motivation is to honor ourselves and not God, a work of God’s grace is required to change motives, beliefs, and actions.

So Honoring God means humbling ourselves and taking to heart God’s person and purposes. The question that we all must ask is how much God’s will weighs heavily upon our thoughts and lives. Our teaching about God and His purposes and our treatment of the people to whom He sends us will either honor or dishonor God.

God Is 1

Honoring the God Who Is!

In order to please God, one “must believe that He is” (Heb. 11:6). The existence of the eternal God is asserted throughout the Bible, beginning with Genesis 1:1. Those who refuse to honor God even in the face of the clear evidence for His existence abide under the wrath of God (Rom. 1:18,19).

God’s attributes can be divided into those that uniquely belong to God and cannot be “communicated” to His creatures and those that can be found in some form in humans. These categories are communicable and incommunicable attributes. To fully honor God, we must be careful to know, acknowledge, and teach the attributes of God that are revealed in Scripture.

Has God Shown Me My Gifts? (Affirmation)

After sensing a desire for pastoral ministry, we need to ask a more objective question about our gifting. Have I seen evidence, however small, of fruitfulness in serving others through biblical teaching and counsel? And, even more important than my own self-assessment, do others confirm my giftings for pastoral ministry?

According to Bishop Don Adams of Building God’s Kingdom International Network. “Remember Election is important many people have a calling on their lives but it has to start with truth. An old saying that many people use to this day is “They weren’t sent they just went.” In my opinion-one way that a person will know that you are called is if they from “run from it.” ” Those that are not called “run to it.” Meaning they are too eager to hold a position.
“We don’t get excited over titles nor do we get excited over positions.”  A calling on your life is like when you take you first steps as a baby-one step at a time.
Regardless of the outcome when you are eager to learn-you are more acceptive to learn how to walk, then your status of learning is beyond what the next person would expect, but even then-we must realize that with any calling one must know that everyone is not called to lead.”

Perhaps you have had an experience like this in your life. But, whether you’ve been literally called by someone important to do something important or not, you have been called by the most important being in the Universe—namely, God—to do the most important thing a human being can do—is to participate in God’s creative and redemptive work-This is true.
In Order to help those who have been called we would ask that everyone practice these simple supplications daily.

13 Questions of Supplication
  • Have I Repented for Past Indiscretion.
  • Am I walking in Unquestioned Obedience to God’s Will.
  • I’m I passionately Seeking After God
  • Do I really Love God
  • Do I have an Intense Love for God’s Word
  • Do I have the passion to win the Lost
  • Do I spend Time in Prayer Daily
  • Do I have a Longing to Please my Heavenly Father
  • Have I separated myself from the World
  • Do I Diligently Study God’s Word
  • Do I attend Church Regularly Did I stay in prayer, or Do I Live the Life
A Divine Calling is First Birthed Out of Conviction

In closing-A divine calling is first birthed out of conviction. God miraculously does a work—either immediately or progressively—on a person’s heart, and that work propels the person into action. Many refer to Paul’s Damascus road experience as the immediate heart-change of God.

Certainly, this is where the Holy Spirit entered Paul’s heart. However, the Father had been progressively and relentlessly pursuing Paul long before then. Paul’s heart had always belonged to God; his vision was just a little distorted  Through alignment and anointing, God sets us on track to pursue the vision and purpose he has for each of our lives.

Our acceptance of that calling means that we say yes to God and fearlessly abandon anything that does not work toward his ends shield-of-faith-clipart-1
