Baton Rouge. — Hundreds will gather on World Human Rights Day December 10, 2016 to commemorate fatal shooting of Alton Sterling by two Baton Rouge Police

The Quest for Justice will be led by Sterlings Family including his Aunt Sandra Sterling, Activist Leader Gregg L Greer, Freedom Fist International, and the others groups and leadership including CERAC a organization within the United Nations. The gathering will be prompted by one important message. “Show the world that you can-stand up for Justice with Alton Sterling,”

The event will take place at 2112 North Foster Drive, in the parking lot of Triple S Food Mart, were Sterling was detained there by Baton Rouge Police Department officers. After an anonymous caller reported that a man believed to be Sterling was threatening him and waving a handgun while in the process of selling CDs. The officers tased Sterling, then forced the heavy-set man to the hood of a sedan and then to the ground. Sterling was pinned to the ground by both officers, one kneeling on his chest and the other on his thigh, both attempting to control his arms.

One officer exclaimed, “He’s got a gun! Gun!” One of the officers yelled, “If you fucking move, I swear to God!” Then Salamoni was heard on the video saying, “Lake, he’s going for the gun!” One of the officers aimed his gun at Sterling’s body, then three gunshots were heard. The camera panned away just before the camera panned back and three more gunshots were heard. The police officer sitting on Sterling’s chest was not in the picture and the other officer who drew the gun, was about 3 feet (0.91 m) away. His gun was pointed on Sterling, who had a gunshot wound in his chest. According to witness Abdullah Muflahi, the officers then retrieved a firearm from Sterling’s pocket. The officers then radioed for Emergency Medical Services.

According to Parish Coroner William Clark of East Baton Rouge, a preliminary autopsy on July 5, indicated that Sterling had died from multiple gunshot wounds to his chest and back.Multiple bystanders’ cell phones captured videos of the shooting as well as store surveillance cameras and officer body cameras.

I don’t think anybody is suffering like me. I’m sitting here at the store wishing I could just say hey to Alton. It’s lonely out here to. Wishing I could get a CD to cheer me up. I see ppl come and go and everybody so far has looked over at the spot where he once sat. His chair is even still sitting on top of the table. Tears falling from my eyes is the only reason I can’t see clearly. I love you phat Boy and I miss you even more. I wish I could tell you that but you are no longer here. I ate an extra piece of cake in your remembrance..lol..that boy loved him some cake….well once again, the scene is empty but only because you’re not here. RIP my baby..I love you like a phat girl love cake….Organizer, Gregg L.Greer said, “On the Afternoon of December 10, 2016 there will be more than demonstration in Baton Rouge shouted “no justice, no peace,” We will continue to ignite and set off , an international dialog-Our goal is to remove any blockage standing in resistance to protest Sterling’s death. “The whole thing is not just about Alton … it’s about justice in all of our community nationally and internally.” I call it final justice, because we the people are tired now. After Tamir Rice, after John Crawford, after Eric Garner, we are tired now, and the only alternative must be for change. So we stand with Sandra and the Sterling Family because final justice means the killings of young black men and women has to end.” Nomore!

Rouge Chicago Cop-John Poulos”

***** Media Advisory *****

CHICAGO, IL-Social Justice activist will speak out and stand together for a Protest Rally on December 6, 2016 at 5:00pm. They are calling attention to- Sgt. John Poulos is being investigated for multiple incidents of “unjustified and excessive use of force.” According to police, the sergeant said he opened fire after 19-year-old Kajuan Raye twice pointed a gun at him during a foot chase two weeks ago-an incident weeks agao in the West Englewood neighborhood of Chicago. Soon afterward Poulos shot Raye in the back in cold blood. Police never found a weapon, despite a thorough search of the area. In 2013 Poulos shot and killed Rickey Rozelle in a darkened gangway at 1935 North Lincoln in Chicago. Poulos later relayed that he pulled the trigger because Rozelle threatened to kill him and “turned toward [him] with a shiny, metallic object in or near his hand,” according to records from the Chicago Police Department and IPRA. CPD awared this cop for his actions even promoted him.
It’s time to get bad cops of the streets for Public safety-We want to send a clear message to the public-that we won’t stop until this “Killer” cop is jailed. Stand with us at the Poulos owned family bar-STEPS from where Rickey Rozelle was murdered.

QUOTE: We believe only sadistic serial predators, “kill like that”-it would seem to us that the time is over due for change with the way the City of Chicago investigates “bad cops” because overall the results have shown absolute failure. Yes, we are asking Kim Fox to get involved as well as Federal Authorities, we must also question the role of our city leadership-post “Laquan McDonald,” due to the fact that to date we are seeing the unnecessary loss of life-at the hands of police. This time, I and Freedom First International plan to use any and all resources available, Chicago Policing must change now, or may more people will, die.

My open letter to Mayor Rahm Emmanuel

Posted on Updated on

Greer Front Banner 2016
Dear Rahm,

In the many days prior to this, I have spoken to you though a chosen method of public disclose such a media. As the President of my organization and the local leader of S.C.L.C -Freedom First International which has numerous affiliated organizations throughout the country.-I would hope that you would accommodate any suggestions offered purely as a means to provide help, for the suffering and oppressed in our community. For the record the efforts that you’ve made downtown have made a noticeable difference, for this accomplishment- I know many would appreciate.  I would also ask, that you remain aware of the continued efforts of those who are on the ground in impoverished communities, and continue to reach out and bring new ideas to the table outside of the groups that you may have longstanding “comfortable,” relationship, even if those group don’t embrace your office, and your position as Chicago Mayor.

You must now finds ways to encourage our thousands of African Americans to participate in a unique Chicago experience- to “secure and entrench themselves, or you will find yourself in a development that will inevitably lead to a growing frightening racial and political nightmare-for purposes of clarification-what we are seeing is the growing divide in the city amongst racial lines, a fact which I sure you know, but in the aftermath of the growing internal violence, repeated community violence, and growing dissatisfaction that goes above political discourse. Many of us would hope for immediate attention. For example;

Besides complaints of blatant discrimination and the use of offensive and menacing actions, such as the Mt.Greenwood Protest that was lead by Blue Lives Matters. Many of the group-Chicago officers who (had) have lamented persistent racial insensitivity, which was demeaning and at the same time-they were wearing police colors, and facts show that many who stood in those ranks were police. The problem that exist- if that is the case, then are these officers are the same one’s patrolling the our(black and minority) communities-with the same blatant racist tendencies, I would ask that you publicly sanction racism coming from within the ranks of CPD while, you may say, that policy is already in place, but urgent times-require a urgent and consistent “reminder” effort. If Those officers are the same ones who patrol the black and minority communities, I for one would be interested in further investigation to see if these office have any previous racial discrepancies (disciplinary actions) in their file. A move which, my organization is willing to support. Lastly, consider shifting the police staffing on demographics. Black officers should be better equipped to handle black citizens, on a psychological level in black areas-a move which may help to quell the the growing number of Police involved shootings in the black community.

Lastly, what I was referring to when I suggested, “Thousands of African Americans to participate in a unique Chicago experience,” I would ask that you consider rebuilding C.A.P.S to provide cultural sensitivity and cater special emphasis- more to the areas that are challenged. Also, My organization and partners conducted a press conference outside of Police District 7 on Nov.26, 2016. There we asked for you to, ‘please’ without hesitation to roll out-Body Camera’s at challenged districts-like District 7. For reasons that no further explanation is needed.

I will end by saying all public displays of protesters protection by the police are in stark contrast to the typical usual treatment that most black and minority citizens, experience and, please promote those moments as they are good for public relations, and will help “to preserve the community. Thanks for any time reading my “open” letter.

(Over 800 people will be on Hand)

We went back to look at the unfavorable ratings of the major-party candidates from 1992 through the current election. The bottom line is that Trump was elected with a higher unfavorable rating than any candidate at any time during all of these previous election cycles, and that conclusion takes into account the fact that unfavorable ratings tend to rise in the heat of a general election campaign as the barbs, negative ads and heightened partisanship are take us to our highest disapproval levels-Our Country doesn’t need him and Chicago with all it’s problems doesn’t need Trump. We want to send this message to the world! Media-Don’t Miss This!

Who is God’s Candidate

Posted on Updated on

Greer Front Banner 2016
gods-elected-final
Many years ago I ran for a city council seat in Charlotte, NC -The sad fact of the matter was, as a person of faith-I felt conflicted by some of the items that were on the agenda to be voted on. As the election progressed-I was challenged on most days to come away knowing how to make votes count where it counts most: This is in God’s eyes! My guess the vital question of the hour is how should Christians approach elections when there is no nominee to feel good about?—when all the options seem bad, and the best many us can do is choose the least bad of the bunch?

While this is a lesson- I won’t tell you how to vote, I will show you attributes to look for in leaders, making connections between public officeholders and the Bible that may surprise you. It’s biblical truth about the character qualities God blesses in government officials—truth that citizens and their leaders mostly ignore at their own peril.

God Candidate Quality 1-Have Faith!

Simply put, the “elect of God” are those whom God has predestined to salvation. They are called the “elect” because that word denotes the concept of choosing. Every four years in the U.S., we “elect” a President—i.e., we choose who will serve in that office. The same goes for God and those who will be saved; God chooses those who will be saved. These are the elect of God.

The second main view is the Augustinian view, which essentially teaches that God not only divinely elects those who have faith in Christ, but God also divinely elects to grant to these individuals who have the faith to believe. In other words, God’s election unto salvation is not based on an individual’s foreknowledge, but it is based on how strong is an individual’s desire for salvation is. The ultimate winner of this election is the free, sovereign grace of Almighty God and in time people will come to understand faith in Christ because most will understand God has elected them.

God Candidate Quality 2-Our Motivation is focused

The ultimate question that we are presented with- What is our motivation focused on; God or man? In the first view (the prescient view), man has total control; man’s free will is sovereign and becomes the determining factor in earthly matters such as a political election. If we provide a God centered factor, then we understand in the end God can provide the way of making salvation real. Ultimately, this view enhances the biblical understanding of God’s true sovereignty. This view puts the Creator’s provision of salvation at the mercy of the creature; the reality of this view if God wants people in heaven, He has to hope that man will freely choose His way of salvation. In reality, the prescient view of election is no view of election at all, because God is not really choosing—He is only confirming. But, it is man who is the ultimate chooser.

God Candidate Quality 3-Solidarity with Principle

malcolm-x

“The Ballot or the Bullet -1964 (below), Minister Malcolm X advocates fighting for racial, economic, and social justice on all fronts, and he does not want religion to stand in the way of justice.  He noted that many preachers, including Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. are most known for their work for justice—not their religious vocations.  X contends that Islam is his personal business.  He finds that religious differences can hinder solidarity.  X calls for keeping religion private: it should be between the person and his or her God.

It is obvious that-The speech champions Black nationalism as the key to Black economic and social progression.

Malcolm X encourages Black people to join churches and organizations that promote Black uplift, and he warns them about Black churches and organizations that promote White nationalism. Churches and organizations employing separatism can be recognized by their espousal of things counterproductive to Black uplift and solidarity. The main point of X’s speech is most people understand that our desire for satisfaction always dictates the direction of our lives–whether it be the hunger of our stomachs, the desire for material wealth or prestige, or the longings of our spirits for God. But for Christian Communities around the world, the hunger for anything outside of the will and direction of God can be an enemy-this includes the direction of those we elect.

While our hunger for God–and Him alone–is the only thing that will always bring life’s victory overall. If we are to understand how the issue that affects our leadership, we must understand how to 1) first Recognize the core of the problem, and 2) secondly we need to understand why, the problem with leadership exist, one rational to consider is people’s “questionable,” Hunger for change.

Who is God’s candidate-Bringing it home

If were are to answer the question who are “Urban Christian leaders,” or “God’s elected,” then many agree with the statement, when we say-they must be determined to demonstrate their engagement in the community and how to lead their people in essential ‘hope messages,’ in order to secure the word of truth in the presence of hardship.
At first, that may mean slower faith extension, but at some point the very declaration of the church is promoting a true community in the midst of tribalism, which may be the spiritual indication of God in which renders hope for the dying urban city.

What you and I should want (need) the people at home to think about during this  election season is that when times are tough ,and people are frustrated and angry and hurting and uncertain, the politics of constant conflict may feel like a remedy. This does not necessarily work in the real world. Definitely, what works in the real world is cooperation. Tomorrows Urban Christian Leaders must understand with clarity that what works in the real world is cooperation, business and government, foundations and universities all the same. Our communities lack collaboration, and teamwork-to the level that only ‘true leadership” can bring.

Pastor Gregg L Greer, President of Freedom First International

We have to inspire a New American Citizen in urban communities who believes with no doubt that we can build the “American Dream,” with real opportunities accompanied by fundamental fairness for all and even for poor folks to work their way into it. The first order must be of principle and zeal for anyone God elected, but it has to begin and end by seeking the will of God not man. With that in mind good luck with this election season. In any case we are calling people of faith to stand up and be accountable to yourself, the secular world, and ultimately God! When the faithful stand up-then we all will instantly see the change because we now have amidst us God’s elected working on our behalf.  (glg)

Peace, and Honor!

For Immediate Release: Community Activist Leadership to hold Press Conference/ Are preparing Legal Battle against Mayor Rahm Emanuel for misuse of public funds and his position.

(Press Conference-at City Hall-2rd Floor  )

 ***** Media Advisory *****

A press conference to Chicago lay out the case against Mayor Rahm Emanuel usage city funds to pay off nonprofits, faith leaders, community activist, and social justice workers “as if those funds were his special personal slush fund.” In the wake of the Laquan McDonald shooting fallout- Rahm Emanuel’s effort was coordinated to quiet any opposition that directly resulted with Emanuel trying to turn around all negativity and harm done to his looming political image in the wake of the McDonald shooting and also growing public disapproval ratings—In addition to growing citizen mistrust in the Chicago police stands out amongst other major problems that Rahm tried to quell-which ignited his misuse of public funds.

The activist investigating the issue, seriously question if the local community is aware of the selfish and disturbing use of diverted City of Chicago funds by the Chicago Mayor. The funds in question under normal circumstances should have been used for awarding independent non-profits and civic organizations primarily to better the city through scholarships and city programs.

Many who understand that the established culture at Chicago City Hall- under Emanuel has long been able to avoid real accountability — and also we should mention Emanuel’s avoidance of sworn depositions — because City Hall bureaucrats, like those in the Chicago Police Department, continue to operate under the unwritten policies protection of policies, practices and legal standards aimed to shield the Mayor from potential harm.

For our effort-more specifically-they we want to send a clear message, that simple says, “we still haven’t forgotten, and we are prepared for a legal show down.” Leading Social Justice organizations involved are Chicago Violence Interrupters, Freedom First International, The Chicago SCLC, Tree of Life Justice League of IL along with a growing list others. Join us!
