For immediate Release: Social Justice and immigrant Activist rally this Friday to make demand to the Trump Administration to stop illegal deportations
April 7, 2017 at Broadview Immigration Processing Center (1930 Beach St., Broadview, IL)
A group of civil rights and immigrant activists will gather on this Friday morning to express fears over the direction President Donald Trump is taking the country with immigrant rights.
They fear families will be torn apart by deportation and blocked from reuniting with relatives seeking to flee war and oppression in other countries after the president signed a pair of executive orders tightening immigration measures.
“We are working to wake up those who refuse to believe that “making America great again” means spreading a message of racial separatism and hate. closing off our nation with walls, illegally detaining men, women, and children, stripping cities of federal funding and tearing families apart with deportations,” For the record Freedom First International is part of the group also participated in the massive Trump protest in Chicago that put 16,000. people in Downtown.” Gregg L.Greer President of Freedom First International.
For the record:
At the start of this effort the Family members and Community activist-Leadership will hold a joint Press Conference (briefing) -This Friday/morning April 7, 2017 in Broadview, IL at 7:15 AM, people of faith, civil rights activist and others will join together in a prayer vigil-protest demonstration at Broadview Immigration Processing Center (1930 Beach St., Broadview, IL) to support those who are in the immigration deportation process, the families of those being deported, and to be a public witness to the injustices of our harsh (enhanced) immigration system. For Immediate release Protest Rally to Stand in opposition against Trump/Pence during Mr.Pence’s Visit to Chicago!
( Chicago Club-This Friday December 30, 2016 at 11:00am)
Chicago, IL. Vice President-elect Mike Pence, also known as the Governor who may citizens have said, “he made Indiana worse,” is hosting a Republican fundraising luncheon in Chicago on Friday with the help of Gov. Bruce Rauner and other Illinois Republicans.
The event will be at The Chicago Club at 81 E. Van Buren St. is hosting the $2,700 per ticket event, according to the Sun-Times. And for $10,000 a pop, a couple can attend, have lunch for two, and take a photo with Pence, while $33,400 VIP tickets per couple will also include a round table meeting.
This call to protest is continuation of the outcry against Trump that coincides with the national effort to “Rise Up” and “Resist,” with a determination that we refuse to accept a regime that feeds racial hatred against Latinos, Muslims, African-Americans, women, LGBTQ, and the poor. Trump has promised to endorse torture and profiling tactics in his administration. We also stand in our continued effort to call out police brutality in America, a known tragic problem that continues to plague Chicago! The FOP strongly supports Trump and calls for unbridled “stop-and-frisk” and the abolition of Bush-era limits on racial profiling.
To all that, we stand in opposition will use this event to say “No! In the name of Humanity, We REFUSE To Accept a Fascist America.”
I say loudly, very clearly we should not be deceived by one who stands behind divisiveness when it is evoked in something that should be “quintessentially,” American. This Elect President who would claim to be a president for all of the people, African-Americans, the inner cities.” I say “No” to this President Elect who embraces the most brutal periods in world history as “Greatness.”
I say to thousands, millions, and anyone who will hear my words and receive-Keep protesting, Keep stomping, Keep crying out in the wilderness! with a raised fist-I resist-join me (us). To fight against those fractions whose actions are outside of the public interest.
NOTE: Donald Trump and Mike Pence have clearly articulated a hateful and dangerous agenda as laid out by Refusefascism.org that they plan to pursue after January 20, 2017
For example here is a short list of our growing issues:
Building a wall on the southern border with Mexico
Mass deportations of undocumented migrants;
Instituting a Muslim registry and threatening to stop
all immigration from Muslim-majority countries;
Backing out of the Paris Climate Treaty;
Threatening the press;
Implementing Stop and Frisk nationally;
Re-starting the nuclear arms race.

While this is a lesson- I won’t tell you how to vote, I will show you attributes to look for in leaders, making connections between public officeholders and the Bible that may surprise you. It’s biblical truth about the character qualities God blesses in government officials—truth that citizens and their leaders mostly ignore at their own peril.
God Candidate Quality 1-Have Faith!
Simply put, the “elect of God” are those whom God has predestined to salvation. They are called the “elect” because that word denotes the concept of choosing. Every four years in the U.S., we “elect” a President—i.e., we choose who will serve in that office. The same goes for God and those who will be saved; God chooses those who will be saved. These are the elect of God.
The second main view is the Augustinian view, which essentially teaches that God not only divinely elects those who have faith in Christ, but God also divinely elects to grant to these individuals who have the faith to believe. In other words, God’s election unto salvation is not based on an individual’s foreknowledge, but it is based on how strong is an individual’s desire for salvation is. The ultimate winner of this election is the free, sovereign grace of Almighty God and in time people will come to understand faith in Christ because most will understand God has elected them.
God Candidate Quality 2-Our Motivation is focused
The ultimate question that we are presented with- What is our motivation focused on; God or man? In the first view (the prescient view), man has total control; man’s free will is sovereign and becomes the determining factor in earthly matters such as a political election. If we provide a God centered factor, then we understand in the end God can provide the way of making salvation real. Ultimately, this view enhances the biblical understanding of God’s true sovereignty. This view puts the Creator’s provision of salvation at the mercy of the creature; the reality of this view if God wants people in heaven, He has to hope that man will freely choose His way of salvation. In reality, the prescient view of election is no view of election at all, because God is not really choosing—He is only confirming. But, it is man who is the ultimate chooser.
God Candidate Quality 3-Solidarity with Principle
“The Ballot or the Bullet” -1964 (below), Minister Malcolm X advocates fighting for racial, economic, and social justice on all fronts, and he does not want religion to stand in the way of justice. He noted that many preachers, including Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. are most known for their work for justice—not their religious vocations. X contends that Islam is his personal business. He finds that religious differences can hinder solidarity. X calls for keeping religion private: it should be between the person and his or her God.
It is obvious that-The speech champions Black nationalism as the key to Black economic and social progression.
Malcolm X encourages Black people to join churches and organizations that promote Black uplift, and he warns them about Black churches and organizations that promote White nationalism. Churches and organizations employing separatism can be recognized by their espousal of things counterproductive to Black uplift and solidarity. The main point of X’s speech is most people understand that our desire for satisfaction always dictates the direction of our lives–whether it be the hunger of our stomachs, the desire for material wealth or prestige, or the longings of our spirits for God. But for Christian Communities around the world, the hunger for anything outside of the will and direction of God can be an enemy-this includes the direction of those we elect.
While our hunger for God–and Him alone–is the only thing that will always bring life’s victory overall. If we are to understand how the issue that affects our leadership, we must understand how to 1) first Recognize the core of the problem, and 2) secondly we need to understand why, the problem with leadership exist, one rational to consider is people’s “questionable,” Hunger for change.
Who is God’s candidate-Bringing it home
If were are to answer the question who are “Urban Christian leaders,” or “God’s elected,” then many agree with the statement, when we say-they must be determined to demonstrate their engagement in the community and how to lead their people in essential ‘hope messages,’ in order to secure the word of truth in the presence of hardship.
At first, that may mean slower faith extension, but at some point the very declaration of the church is promoting a true community in the midst of tribalism, which may be the spiritual indication of God in which renders hope for the dying urban city.
What you and I should want (need) the people at home to think about during this election season is that when times are tough ,and people are frustrated and angry and hurting and uncertain, the politics of constant conflict may feel like a remedy. This does not necessarily work in the real world. Definitely, what works in the real world is cooperation. Tomorrows Urban Christian Leaders must understand with clarity that what works in the real world is cooperation, business and government, foundations and universities all the same. Our communities lack collaboration, and teamwork-to the level that only ‘true leadership” can bring.
Pastor Gregg L Greer, President of Freedom First International
We have to inspire a New American Citizen in urban communities who believes with no doubt that we can build the “American Dream,” with real opportunities accompanied by fundamental fairness for all and even for poor folks to work their way into it. The first order must be of principle and zeal for anyone God elected, but it has to begin and end by seeking the will of God not man. With that in mind good luck with this election season. In any case we are calling people of faith to stand up and be accountable to yourself, the secular world, and ultimately God! When the faithful stand up-then we all will instantly see the change because we now have amidst us God’s elected working on our behalf. (glg)

For Immediate Release: Community Activist Leadership to hold Press Conference/ Are preparing Legal Battle against Mayor Rahm Emanuel for misuse of public funds and his position.
(Press Conference-at City Hall-2rd Floor )
***** Media Advisory *****
A press conference to Chicago lay out the case against Mayor Rahm Emanuel usage city funds to pay off nonprofits, faith leaders, community activist, and social justice workers “as if those funds were his special personal slush fund.” In the wake of the Laquan McDonald shooting fallout- Rahm Emanuel’s effort was coordinated to quiet any opposition that directly resulted with Emanuel trying to turn around all negativity and harm done to his looming political image in the wake of the McDonald shooting and also growing public disapproval ratings—In addition to growing citizen mistrust in the Chicago police stands out amongst other major problems that Rahm tried to quell-which ignited his misuse of public funds.
The activist investigating the issue, seriously question if the local community is aware of the selfish and disturbing use of diverted City of Chicago funds by the Chicago Mayor. The funds in question under normal circumstances should have been used for awarding independent non-profits and civic organizations primarily to better the city through scholarships and city programs.
Many who understand that the established culture at Chicago City Hall- under Emanuel has long been able to avoid real accountability — and also we should mention Emanuel’s avoidance of sworn depositions — because City Hall bureaucrats, like those in the Chicago Police Department, continue to operate under the unwritten policies protection of policies, practices and legal standards aimed to shield the Mayor from potential harm.
For our effort-more specifically-they we want to send a clear message, that simple says, “we still haven’t forgotten, and we are prepared for a legal show down.” Leading Social Justice organizations involved are Chicago Violence Interrupters, Freedom First International, The Chicago SCLC, Tree of Life Justice League of IL along with a growing list others. On Today July 17, 2016, many are aware of the current national news headlines detailing two cops who were killed in Baton Rouge, and multiple cops killed in Dallas, Texas last week.
In the wake of Tamir Rice in Cleveland, Mike Brown in Ferguson, Freddy Gray in Baltimore, Eric Garner New York City, Alton Sterling in Louisiana and stolen lives-elsewhere, most of the time black people in city’s across America have known for some time that there is a deep rooted issue in our communities. Many of us are totally aware of the nature of police oppression and violence against the black community in urban cities. This has happened to such an extent that we as (blacks) expect from the police a regular “shake down, ” at least once in our life and for some-we’ve become immune to this treatment.
So maybe we should just start by saying a black man is three times more likely to be searched at a traffic stop, and seven times more likely to go jail than his white counterpart. Blacks make up nearly 40 percent of arrests for violent crimes, but over 60 percent of prosecutions. Everyday thousands of blacks have suffered subliminal forms of discrimination to harsh issues both inside and outside the criminal justice system. We don’t need social science research to show how striking are the racial disparities exist at nearly every level for blacks-just go into the hood and ask a black person! We have suffered from mass incarceration by ungodly arrest rates, to unheard of bail amounts for minimal crimes. One truly doesn’t need to shift through any vast body of research to find the clearest indicators of racial disparities at different phases of the American Justice
Another study, by The Sentencing Project, examines vastly disproportionate rates of incarceration for African-American Men. We should be asking ourselves why these disparities exist?
With institutional racism in Job, schools, and communities black have no choice but to push our way forward from here, and most will tell you they are long tired of being victims.
Gregg L.Greer-President, Freedom First International-S.C.L.C Member
I’ve said in the recent past- Tamir Rice, Eric Garner and others are not victims of the lopsided school systems that failed them. They are victims of a police force that overwhelmingly assumes first that most young black men are criminals followed by fear of them. They are a victims of bad legislation, like the Florida’s Stand Your Ground law, that gives anyone the unfettered right to kill if they feel threatened in any way.
With institutional racism in Job, schools, and communities have no choice but to push our way forward from here.
The Father of hate will forever be lies, the forested lie that hate tells is some races are better than others. Eric A Russell-Founder of Tree of Life Justice League of IL.
Yes it’s tragic that Police officers who responded to Sunday’s shootings killed Long in a gun battle after the other officers were ambushed, police sources told CNN.
It’s sad that two of those who died were Baton Rouge police officers, said Police Chief Carl Dabadie. The gunman also killed a sheriff’s deputy and critically wounded a deputy who is “fighting for his life,” said East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff Sid Gautreaux.
Another wounded deputy and police officer have non-life-threatening wounds, law officers said.
It is with this thought in mind-that we embrace the pain-that other communities are feeling, because we know this pain-it’s a way too familiar pain. This pain has slowly given rise to Black Militant groups such as the one pictured above. (Armed Black Militants Prep for War-you tube)
The pain that black’s have endured for many years-which simply says-we are victims of a certain Moral blindness– Which means every single black person in the eyes of a racist is the sign of a terrible crime from their ugly past, a reminder that their life is a fraud, that they need to simply own up to their past and make it right. Instead of denying, shifting blame, or to lie, twisting the facts and make black people into these ungodly creatures that they look down on, laugh at and yet, oddly, fear. It is a failed attempt to be at “peace,” with themselves. Can someone consider apologizing to the Black community for the long hard years of systematic oppression. Maybe the killings of cops would stop.
It is my hope and most likely a dream- that the President and others who discuss the tragic circumstances of Dallas, and Baton Rouge will spend equal time discussing the level of frustration in the black community- I will caution all that-the time came yesterday- when the black community grew tired. Please know that we don’t want to blame anyone for senseless loss of life-but please-please tell me who’s to blame for the “Hate that Hate made.”
Peace and Love
